Als freier Musiker lebe und arbeite ich derzeit in Hamburg, wo ich auch studiert habe. Neben dem E-Bass greife ich ebenso in sechs Saiten und in die Tasten.

I am a free-lance musician, currently living in Hamburg, where i studied music. Besides the electric bass i also handle thinner strings and even play around on keys.

Seit ich mit dem Musikmachen begonnen habe, hat mich stets eher die Energie und Stimmung eines Stückes, eines Künstlers oder einer Band in den Bann gezogen, als ein bestimmter Stil. Bei Mitwirkung an einem Projekt ist für mich die Gesamtenergie vorrangiges Kriterium. Meine Veröffentlichungen zeigen demzufolge eine gewisse Diversität. Auf der Bühne oder im Studio habe ich von Pop bis Swing bis Metal mehr oder weniger alles gespielt, fühle mich überall gleichermaßen zu Hause. All das findest du in der Rubrik „releases“!

 

Since i started playing music i was always caught more by the energy and vibe of a piece, artist or band than any specific style. Naturally i am also more interested in the energy of the projects i involve myself in than the genre. So from the first album i recorded to the newest you will find diversity. Find details to each one in the „releases“ section. In general I feel comfortable playing anything from Pop to Swing to Metal.

Als Dozent für Bass und Gitarre liegt es mir am Herzen und bereitet mir Freude, mein Wissen und meine Erfahrung weiterzugeben. Ich betrachte Musik ganzheitlich, jedoch im Bewußtsein der verschiedenen Säulen auf welchen sie gebaut ist. Für mich sind diese:

Harmonie <-> Disharmonie

Groove/Rhythmus

Technik

Regeln der Musik und die Freiheit, sich über jene hinwegzusetzten

Das und mehr versuche ich im Unterricht zu vermitteln. Wenn du Interesse hast Bass/Gitarre zu lernen oder dein Spiel zu verbessern, freue ich mich von dir zu hören!

As a tutor for bass and guitar sharing what i learned and my experience gives me joy and i feel strong about it. I feel music holistic, still aware of the main pillars it rests. To me those are:

harmony <-> disharmony

groove/rhythmn

technique

musical rules and the freedom to play around them

Sehr gut! Du hast es fast bis ganz nach unten geschafft! Und das nur, um herauszufinden was ich mache, wenn ich nicht Saiten zum Schwingen bringe, Songs schreibe, produziere oder netten Leute genau das beibringe, richtig?!

Also,

vor einiger Zeit begann ich mich mit der Videographie zu beschäftigen. Zunächst um ein eigenes Musikvideo zu realisieren. Ich begann bei Null!

Mittlerweile kann ich behaupten, einige Projekte komplett oder in Teilen verwirklicht zu haben. Vom Skript zum Film zum Schnitt zur Nachbearbeitung. Ich habe Einiges gelernt! Und ich hab weiter Bock drauf!

Wenn du eine Auswahl fertiger Videos sehen und Genaueres wissen willst – klar willst du das – schau einfach in den Videographie Bereich! An neuen Projekten bin ich auch immer interessiert. Sag also gerne Bescheid, wenn du ein solches hast und dich eine Zusammenarbeit interessiert.

So, you made it down almost all the way to the bottom! Did you make it that far to find out what i do when i am not playing, writing, producing or teaching? I guess so!

Well, i started to pursue my interest in videography a while ago for my own project. I started at zero.

By now i can say i realized videos all the way from scriptwriting to filming to editing to postproduction. I learned a lot! And i realized i liked it!

So if you like to see – and you should – some work and details, just check out the videography section! Also i am always interested in new projects, so let me know if you have one and may be in need of me co-working on it or for you!
